Caritas holds review with East Zone program incharges

“Our different programs are the roads leading us to our organisational goal in bringing dignity, value, worth, quality of life for the most marginalised,” said Fr. (Dr.) Paul Moonjely, Executive Director of Caritas India while addressing to program staff during the East Zonal Review meeting.

After almost two years, it was the first time Zonal Review Meeting was held physically for East Zone team members on 15th Dec in Head Office, Delhi with the objectives to reflect and analyse together our programs which are the roads for us in reaching to organisational goals.

Fr. (Dr.) Jolly Puthenpura, the Assistant Executive Director of Caritas India invited everyone to critically evaluate the quality of our interventions, partnership with diocesan partners and other stakeholders and our emergency response to the need in the respective regions and state. He said that such reflections help us to add quality to our programs and translate our field learning into our approach and operations.

‘All roads lead to Rome’, remarked Fr. (Dr.) Paul Moonjely, Executive Director of Caritas India and elaborated that our multiple programs are the roads leading us to our organisational goal. He said having access to the community/resources, knowing the field reality, it is field staff who can better judge and analyse whether we are moving towards the right direction or road in achieving our organisational goals and objectives. He concluded with a shared frame of mind leading to a shared vision to reach to the common good. Hence, he urged everyone to put up all our field learnings, different program experiences together towards a shared vision of the organisation and finally common good of the community.

The proceeding was followed by the presentations of different programs being implemented in East Zone such as Gram Nirman, Migration, Child Right, Uttron, APP, Wadi etc.

Each program Associates presented program status including progress, challenges, and future action plan of implementation.

At the end of the day, a few major actionable points were drawn from the discussion and presented to Mr. Ghanshyam, Head of Programs. He provided his guidance and direction to improve upon and continue adding innovation in the programs.

The Zonal review meeting came to an end with allotment to timeline to each actionable along with responsible persons to complete the same. With a closing remark and vote of thanks from Ms. Devi, Chief Programme Lead – EZ & NEZ, the meeting was concluded.
