Lead – Strategic Plan (Planning & Implementation) & Capacity Building

Job Description

Primary Role: This position leads the development and implementation of the CI Strategic Plan and the reporting framework, directs implementation of the Strategic Planning processes for the Organization and its Partners with due focus to mainstreaming KSPs across all intervention and engagement.

The position in consultation with Management and suggestion of Animation Reflection Circle will facilitate the preparation of Regional level and Partner level plans in alignment with the Strategic Plan.

The Position will also be the main lead in driving the Need Based capacity building initiatives for local partners and within CI for staff. (currently more focus will be given for Strategic Plan implementation).

The position will also provide guidance to the Migration programme (ERRIN- Voluntary return and reintegration programme).

The responsibilities also include providing handholding support to CI Field staff and partners staff -Regional Fora staff and diocesan staff (and community leaders) for KSPs mainstreaming and ensuring proper translation of KSPs on the ground in collaboration with CI field staff.  This will also entail interacting with diverse relevant stakeholders besides natural partners for ensuring that KSPs is disseminated, understood and adopted by them.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT

  • Lead the Strategic planning, developing and execution of the Strategic Plan implementation in close collaboration with the Regional For a, local partners and Caritas India Staff.

Provide support to RF and Local Partners for KSPs roll out

  • Handholding the Regional Fora Co-ordinators
  • Developing Guideline and tools for Close accompaniment
  • Develop Module and Organise Orientations/ workshops and Trainings for Diocesan Point persons and Community Leaders
  • Work with Regional Fora for aligning Partner organisation’s strategy with the Caritas India Strategy.
  • Support in all SP related deliberations bringing in innovation to Strategic Plan execution and processes.

 

Provide support in KSPs mainstreaming within Caritas India

  • Support CI staff focussed events through providing input and value adding for mainstreaming KSPs in Programme.
  • Support Field staff in Close accompaniment processes wherever required in mainstreaming KSPs
  • Organise Orientation/ workshop and Training for CI staff on SP as per requirement
  • Assist CI Thematic teams with KSPs mainstreaming in the thematic deliberation as and when required.

Documentation:

  • Review and Finalized all events/Trainings/workshops/meeting reports/minutes
  • Facilitate in the development of learning documents
  • Submit Report/abstract for SP events for visibility and CI decision making bodies
  • Develop SPKSP Implementation and Result report

 

Concept/Proposal (Strategic Plan) & MEAL

 

  • Facilitate Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning exercise for improving Strategic Plan implementation for learning in consultation with the ARC members and Reporting Authorities.
  • Support HoD in developing new concepts, programme proposal for Strategic Plan Roll out/Implementation.

Capacity building:

 

  • Develop capacity building Plan, Module and material and deliver capacity building to staff and local partners in SP KSPs related area in line with the organizational needs
  • Facilitate, arrange Resource persons when required for the meetings/ workshops /trainings for the Strategy Plan Implementation and related events and occasion
  • Provide guidance to ERRIN Officers for smooth and quality-based Reintegration programme and support in Planning and Capacity building initiatives.

PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • Accompany the Regional Fora projects for successful implementation of KSPs (Adding value in implementation)
  • Review and finalized the proposal, synopses, budget and assessing capacity gaps of partners and handhold them as desired by Caritas India.
  • Facilitate building the perspectives and capacities of the Regional Fora and local Partners on KSPs related areas.

 

NETWORK, LINKAGES & CI VISIBILITY 

  • Facilitate strengthening/ maintaining good relationship with Regional Fora and selected partners and collaboration through close accompaniment
  • Facilitate / organize national events and providing support to state/Region/ diocese level interventions on SP KSPs related areas.
  • Value addition of perspectives and analysis into concepts/proposals/events modules as and when required
  • Support in Mobilize resources- human and finance where required

 KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

  • Building and participating in knowledge platforms; dissemination of lessons learned in SP implementation, experience gained, new insights received for building knowledge base within CI.
  • Mobilization of knowledge, information related to Strategic Plan implementation and document the same for organization’s consumption and dissemination.
  • Mobilization / dissemination of good practices emerged from close accompaniment for visibility, motivation and adoption by other local partners

 

Note: Lead in providing regular and periodical reports and maintain documentation as per required formats and timelines against all the above accountabilities.
